Amber is fossilised tree resin that has been appreciated for its colour and natural beauty since Neolithic times. Amber is used in jewellery and has been used as a healing agent in folk medicine for centuries, and is said to improve memory, increase mental flexibility and create balanced decision-making. Amber has also been used, historically, as a talisman for courage and self-confidence, and was thought to bring good luck to warriors in battle.
